Ohio Reformatory for Women

Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) is a state correctional facility operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and is Ohio’s only institution dedicated to housing adult female offenders. Opened in 1916, ORW focuses on safety, rehabilitation, education, vocational training, and reentry services designed to meet the specific needs of women in custody and support successful reintegration into the community.
